With SINNIS motorcycles seeing great success in developing its own Petrol based brand, NIU was received in the UK with great interest and enthusiasm. By the end of 2019, NIU UK had already established a network over 20 dealers, 5 of which as ‘Flagship’ Stores with investment from NIU HQ directly.
NIU products captivated the electric scooter & moped market becoming renowned for their premium quality and ease of maintenance. Over 2000 units have been sold within NIU UKs relatively short life-span this far, with innovative models such as the EVO and CARGO providing direct competition to petrol based 125cc scooters and delivery/fleet solutions.
With it’s team and warehouse based on the south coast of the UK near Brighton and a dealer network of over 30 locations across the UK, NIU UK offers full sales & aftersales support from within the UK.
In NIUs native country of China we have over 2600 stores spanning 237 cities.
In the 8 years in which we have been expanding we have partnered with distributors covering 49 countries globally, resulting in a global network of over 4000 stores.
In the UK we have a dealer network covering 33 unique locations with a growing waiting list for on-boarding.

All NIU models use densely populated battery packs which utilise the same cylindrical cells as found in Premium Cars such as Tesla, Mercedes and BMW.
Each battery pack consists of multiple banks of cells linked in series and parallel circuits, managed by NIUs 4th Generation of processors.
Housed behind the waterproof membrane of each pack are an array of sensors configured to protect both the pack itself as well as the bike. Temperature sensors, moisture sensors and seismic sensors send real time information to the battery management system which in turn is relayed to the bikes ECU as well as the NIU App.
Using the supplied NIU charger, up to 1kW can be delivered to each battery pack, with 0-100% charging in under 7 hours and 0-80% charging in under 4 hours, all from a household 3-Pin Plug.
At the centre of each NIU is our 3rd Generation Cloud-Connected ECU. As the brain of the NIU, it monitors, collects and analyses telemetry from each control system hundreds of times per minute.
Each ECU houses it’s own SIM Card to enable access to real-time data telemetry remotely so that you can monitor on board diagnostics and the GPS anti-theft system. Plus, its ‘Over The Air’ update feature allows you to wirelessly upgrade your NIUs software without having to bring it in to a service station.
Vibrant & Crisp, the 6 inch TFT display can be tailored via the NIU App to suit your riding preferences.
